**ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR SUNDAY OCTOBER 18
 
A GET OUT THE VOTE rally, “Be Woke, Vote” will be held on this Saturday October 24th at Eagles Field in Bluffton, Buckwalter Parkway at Buck Island Road, from 3pm-5pm. The event is sponsored by Black Voters Matter, in partnership with the Hilton Head Chapter of of the Links, Inc., The Bluffton MLK Observance Committee, and the Hilton Head MLK Committee for Justice. Free food, giveaways, election information, COVID-19 Awareness, entertainment and more. PRE-RESERVATIONS are through Eventbrite (Check our church Constant Contact messages for more information). This is a social distancing event. MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
 
 
**The Social Action Commission of Campbell Chapel AME Church and other church young adult ministries in the community will host a post-rally GET OUT THE VOTE digital event on Saturday October 24 beginning at 7pm via Zoom. Join the discussion on party, politics and power! More information on reservations and Zoom access can be found at Campbell’s weekly Constant Contact news.
 
 
 
St. Stephen AME Church of Hardeeville will host a GET OUT THE VOTE “drive-in-style” movie night viewing of the movie, “Just Mercy”, the story of a young Bryan Stevenson: American lawyer, social justice activist, and now founder/executive director of the “Equal Justice Initiative” based in Montgomery, Alabama. The event will be on Saturday October 31st, 6pm-8:30pm. Young voters are encouraged to attend. The number of car reservations are limited but people per car should consider COVID-19 safe practices. Food/refreshments will be available. Reservations can be made by calling St Stephen’s church office, 843-784-3224, to record your reservation.
